CASE a Card

Hi there!  Long time, no blogging …

I've been in a bit of stamping slump lately, so I decided to CASE (copy and share for everyone) a card I found online (created by Carrie Gaskin, the Artistic Avenger – love her work!).  When I get into a slump, I find that CASE'ing gets me back into the swing of things.

A good friend of mine recently went through a major surgery and I wanted to send some heartfelt wishes in the form of a handmade card.  This card fit the bill perfectly.

Lots of Love Letterpress Plates - by Stampin' Up! I am loving the way this turned out, gorgeous colors, fun layout and use of many different punches.  It may be hard to see, but I even used the Lots of Love letterpress plate on my Sahara Sand background.

So, what do you think?  Stamping this card inspired me to make a few more… I hope to share those with you very soon.

Peaceful Seasons
A simple (kwik & kool) card that I sent as a thank you.

I really love how this turned out.  The sentiment "seasons greetings" can be used AFTER the holidays.  My rule of thumb is if there is still snow on the ground, it is still considered the "season". It may help to know that I live in wintery Wisconsin!  BRRR!

Enjoy the season, wherever you live.

Wasabi Wonderland

Just for fun, I decided to upload this card in black & white.  I was SO happy with the way this turned out that I wanted you to experience the "WOW moment" just like I did.

The photos don't do this card any justice.  The bling bouncing off the card is breathtaking.  It's been a while since I've been this excited about card-making.  Maybe my mojo is slowly creeping back in OR maybe I'm just giddy becuase I found some "me" time.  Either way, I'm excited that I was able to use my treasured Stampin' Up! goodies.

B&W close up

This card is for a very special person in my life, who was my Mom's best friend.  I hope she loves it as much as I do.

Candy Cane Christmas House

Candy Cane House

I'm finally getting in the holiday mood.

Had time to create with Stampin' Up!'s, Design a House.  Here's the house in the "raw" form.

Item #120911, $5.95

Design a House

Get yourself a house in my online store and start creating!

It was such good "therapy" to get stamping again.  The idea of Christmas without my Mom has been a difficult pill to swallow.  So, I haven't been in the holiday mood at all – in fact, I wanted to just skip it all together.  BUT I started to create this little house and it did wonders to bring in the holiday spirit.

Happy Holidays Stampers!

Spooky Things

Trick or Treat

Just sharing some cute Halloween decorations created with the Spooky Things Decor Elements.

Spooky Things Decor Elements
Item #120909, $14.95

Spooky Things

I also used the Spooky Things Decor Elements on this shadow box frame.  A great home decor item that I can use year after year.  I can easily change out the interior to create a whole new look.  Fun!

The spiders are adhered to the outside (glass) and the rest of the images are adhered to Crumb Cake and Very Vanilla cardstock.  I even added some bling to the raven's eye and around his neck.

Happy Halloween Frame

Ghoulish Gifts

Halloween is coming and this year I want to celebrate well in advance.

I kicked off my celebration with a spooky project.  This adorable little box holds a 1 fluid ounce bottle of anti bacterial pocket gels from Bath & Body Works.

The scents I purchased are:  Zombie Squad Marshmallow, Candy Corn Caramel, Vampire Blood Plum, and Bat Bite Apple.  SO FUN!!

See how cute they are sitting inside the box?

All the credit for this project goes to Erica Cerwin, at Pink Buckaroo Designs.  She is SO incredibly creative!!  Check out her tutorial by clicking here.

Keep scrolling down to see two more variations on this box.  I had so much fun making these and can't wait to make more.  They will make such fun gifts for my closest fiends (oops – I mean friends).
